Hello,

I currently have 7 budgies..I started off with 2, these two were on harrisons pellets. They ate normally and never kicked food out. After the female laid eggs and they hatched, the babies started to kick food out. Because of this, the female learned to do so as well. I was wondering if any of you guys faced the same problem and how you dealt with it...

Thanks!

Hens usually kick food out of the bowl so they can climb in and nest in there. Other reasons are digging for fave food types (or digging through pellets to find seeds).

I bought a feeder like this;

Sunbeam does this too and I changed to feeders similar to pic above, but Sunbeam won’t do it if there’s seed mixed with the pellets.

My conure did it also until I changed the food. I'm guessing he didn't like what I was giving him. I now seemed to have hit it right. He does it very little anymore.
