Hi
I have a male ringneck who is 13 years of age. He's very healthy and has variety in his diet. He is light blue in colour and has a black and white ring. On his belly, he was a plain baby blue colour but recently I've noticed that the ends of each feather on his belly is turning grey. This is the first time in the 13 years of having him that something like this has happened. What does this mean? Should I be concerned?

Doesn't lack of vitamins sometimes change feather colors? Could you make sure I'm right @Mizzely ? your better with diet stuff

It's hard to say for sure, especially as they age. It's usually liver issues that cause some yellowing in some species but not sure how it would look in a bird with blue mutation.

Has your bird been to a vet recently just for an overall checkup?

As @Mizzely said true blue mutation birds are not able to produce the yellow feathers usually associated with liver problems. Does it look anything like feather bronzing?

Sounds like possible feather plucking or other feather destructive behavior as well.....
