Hello, I am new to this forum.

I am quite scared of the situation of my baby sun conure. I feed him by hand feeding and one time I accidentally push the syringe and it went to his nose. after that day, I am about to feed him but he's not that active anymore like he's showing a sign that he's hungry. But he keeps on going to me like he wants cuddles from me or what. He sneezes quite a lot due to the cerelac that was stuck in his nose. Can someone tell me what to do? or illnesses that he has?

thank you.

Welcome to the Avenue Marielle,

How old is the bird?
When did the accident with the food happen?
What are you feeding?
What temperature is the food?
What temperature is the brooder?

Do you have the parents?

edit; I have moved this thread into the Nursery forum so others with hand-feeding experience see it

Not active not hungry all not good signs for a bird that has been handfeeding.
They need to eat & time is ticking. When they refuse food something is not right unless they are being weaned. How old is the baby & how long have you been handfeeding?
Where is the breeder or parents? Does the bird eat any solid food?

Zara asked all the right questions to be sure he does not get crop stasis.
He might have got food in his trachea. Sneezes?
How many days has he not eaten?

Is his crop empty?

A baby depending upon how old needs to eat a few times a day.
If he is refusing food he might be cold, food is cold or he is sick from crop problems or just sick.

You need to act quickly. He's coming to you as he wants you to help him but he does not know how to ask.
You need to figure this out or take him to a vet

I hope your baby will be alright.

hello, the bird is now 7 weeks old. It happened yesterday afternoon. I am handfeeding him using a syringe with a formula a21. The food is same as the temperature of the normal water that we used to drink everyday (not that cold and not that hot). I don't have the parents.

That is too cold. Formula must be 105F (40.5C).
I think the Nutribird formula allows a couple of degrees lower that but what you describe is too cold.
When did you get him?

To confirm, you can prep this formula to 39C which is 102.5F
(It was formulated for this so this temp is for this formula only, not ok with others)
