1.he kinda hates head scratches and i think it from the pin feathers,i didnt have this problem with and kinda of birds [gcc.ringnecks.cockteils], when i pin it to with a towel and start scrathing it it seems to enjoy and starts getting puffy but when i scratch him at the top of his head it gets mad.

2. i tried to bathe by showing him water showed him videos and other stuff but he seems to get scared from the water and flys away from it any help making him bathe ?

3.his feathers everywhere in the cage and at my room but he is healty i give him some vegies and fruit and some times honey cuz he love it any help on this one ?

can i have some help ?

note: i got him when he was around 2months and he was SCARED from me but now he even flys to me

You can try to mist him with a spray bottle. Go gently and make sure to do it from above so it rains down on him instead of spraying at him.

Also can try running a vacuum cleaner while he has a bowl of water ;) Sometimes the sound/vibration helps too!

One of my Quakers would only bathe in a wide bowl or sink where his tail wouldn't touch the sides. And it has to be cold water. Warm water he had no interest in.

Basically it's a lot of trial and error!

I'm sorry I didn't see this post earlier. I have a 22 year old Quaker that I got 2 years ago. In those two years I've only seen him dunk his head in his water bowl maybe 3x. I've tried misting him, he's in terror (previous owners squirted him for punishment). Tried the shallow bowl...not getting near it! Tried a bird shower to see if running water would appeal to him...nope. He's scared to death of hands (better than he was, but still "no-touchy"). Tried watching videos...he won't look! :D His head is covered in pintails 100% of the time over 100% of the head! The proof is in the pictures! 20250801_130212.jpg If you come up with a solution, pls let me know!
