No. She hardly bleeds at all. Never thought of that. You see I have white vet wrap on her perchesLet me ask you something. Did those wounds bleed well when first made? Especially the one between her toes?
I was hoping that the local vet that does care about Molly, would consult with a specialist.Hi @Sock - Glad you are here and glad to meet you. I'll be seeing my vet tomorrow and I'll ask him about her. She certainly has the pedigree and a recommendation from Dr. Lafeber is nothing to sneeze at.
I think there has to be a solution for your baby and you have my complete empathy. I've had a very ill bird for 21 years now and my wonderful Dr. Driggers has kept her alive.
No infections, last tested December. Never had a Ct or MRI. New Dr has all that stuff. LolHas she had an asper titer and has she had a MRI or cat scan?
I think that is what my vet said too, it could be that.If it's neuropathy and none of the neuropathy treatments are viable, then amputation is the only option. It's better to have no foot than a non-functional painful foot. But I agree it warrants another review because neuropathy in birds is a diagnosis of exclusion.
