Mug Trees as Playstands?

It sounds ridiculous, I know :laughing2: But has anyone thought of using a mug tree (the ones with the marble bottoms) and vet tape as play stands for small birds?

If you wrapped all of the wood in vet-wrap it could work, otherwise I would be concerned over the chemicals in the finish.
