So I’m moving out of my place with my green cheek conure but moving in with a cat and two dogs. I’m just worried about the cat and my bird. Wondering how do I cat proof my room or any suggestions. The cat is young it’s a White Russian mix
Keep your door closed at all times. That is the best way to peacefully co-exist with multiple species. It doesn't matter the age or breed of either the cat or dog. Separated is safe.
As said above, keeping the door closed really is the best way to keep your bird safe.
Will you be living with other people? If so, maybe a turn sign hanging out on the door, to let others know when your bird is out of their cage and to not open the door at all. Turn the sign, before letting the bird out of their cage, and once securely back in then you can swap the sign back to let others know it´s ok opening the door.
