THANK YOU! Ive never seen one, but ive heard the song...uh hum...Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree, merry merry king of the bush is he...lol. That's 3 rd grade music class at its finest( wont say what yr that was.lol). Its a cute bird...does it make a laughing sound like in the song?

:cloud9: I just love kookaburras! I love seeing them when I'm at the zoo. They have such striking markings with those white stripes.

What is so funny is if you have ever watched one of those old Tarzan movies or any older movie with a jungle and jungle sounds in it, you have heard a kookaburra; and also peacocks! Those calls were always used to evoke jungle sounds!
