Okay, you will all have to tell me if I get too annoying with all the Nemo reports but I am having so much fun with him! Here are the things I have learned about him. I would love to hear comments from others about whether or not some of these things are species specific.
1. He has the most fantastic yellow forehead
2. He seems to have more lower eyelid than my other birds. I don't know how to explain this but when he is very relaxed and being particularly adorable his lower eyelids come up a little rather than his upper eyelids coming down (like with my other birds). Is this a Meyer's thing? Does this make sense what I am saying. It is so cute.
3. He opens his mouth on me without biting me. He has done it when I step him up off the cage. He has been sitting on me and just started sort of licking my hand and exploring with his beak. He is gentle and careful but seems to be doing it with purpose.
4. He seems to love sitting on me and grooming. I take it as a compliment that he is relaxed and comfortable enough to do this.
5. He grooms his feet a lot. His feet look perfect in that I don't think that there is anything wrong with them but he seems particularly meticulous about making sure that his feet and nails are groomed well
