Frankie has started her first molt. How long does this last usually?

I initially thought she was a boy cos she's quite loud for a girl but the last 2 weeks I've been going to give her scritches and she lowers her back and chirps so I'm thinking a loud girl.

Is there anything i can do to make her more comfortable during this?
