Molting Questions

Hi guys

My baby gcc started her first molt last summer. But shes still molting. Shes now 10 months old. Is it normal to take that long? It's only a few feathers every week, and she isn't plucking them. I've seen them fall out, and she does grow new ones. She isn't missing big patches of feathers and isn't super itchy.

Am I worrying over nothing?

She has seen a vet and is perfectly healthy.

Big molts happen a couple times a year with the wing and flight feathers being included in that. However body feathers are Constantly being replaced and finding a few feathers a week is just as normal as you finding hair in your brush or shower drain

Yes, Maks just did a large molt and then a few minis. He is about 10 months now.
