Molting Cardinal!

I have never in my life seen something that looks quite as ridiculous as a molting Cardinal. Per Google, she's molting and not sick, so fingers crossed.

Yeah when she first popped up I freaked out about disease zombie bird!

They do look seriously weird though

They can be very vulnerable when molting feathers. Those crows and bluejays may harass the heck out of them.

I believe it! Jays are butt heads anyway, I try to keep them off the feeder because they harass everyone else.
