Molting behaviour?

Evening everyone
Rio is now 18 weeks old. She seems to be molting. She has lots of big pin feathers out the back of her neck and a few underneath too. Also alot on and around her little face.
She has also been quite grouchy, does this come hand in hand? She will need come see us and walk all over us but seems a little more angry at life hehe

That is normal.

You can try and offer more bathing opportunities. When my plumhead is molting he wants a shower everyday and even with that he will also stick his head in his water bowl.

You can get through this Rio! You are going to be so pretty :)

My IRN is moulting badly! Hes a grumpy mess, looks like a green porcupine with no tail..it will pass..

Yeah, Burt is extra short on for patience when he is molting. Cranky bird who then gets sooky because he is often not really wanting to be grumpy but he seems rather frustrated at the new feathers coming in.
