Milton is happy Daddy is home...he came up to me just after I got home...and this...

Milton: "HI...YOU BACK!"

Me: Yes, I'm back...

Milton: (seeing the huge bruises on both my arms) "WAT DAT?"

Me: That's where I have "ouches", Bird...please don't preen them...(he does try to do this once in awhile)

Milton: "DAT BAD"....

Me: Yes, they are bad, but they'll get better soon...

Milton: "I LOVE IT...MISS YOU"... (comes over and puts his head on my chest)

Me: I missed you too, Bird...

Milton: "YOU GOOD DAD....I PRETTY PRETTY BIRD"....

What a nice Welcome Home...

I just read your other post. I am glad that you are better but you really need to take care of yourself, not only for Kathy, Milton, and the littles, but for us too

...sometimes I do hesitate to post things that Milton says, because they seem so incredible...but I always try to have another person around when he does speak....usually Kathy.

And yes, we do, at times look at each other and say, "Did he REALLY say that?" I like when he opens up and there are strangers and friends around to hear him. @sunnysmom was here last time and Milton really opened up to her...which pleased both her and I...I'm looking forward to the next time when she and Howie visit...

Milton is pretty amazing. He's always talked some around us but definitely talks more each time we're around him. And the last time we were there he tried to crawl down my shirt. Lol

...the ultimate show of acceptance is when he lifts his wing so you scratch underneath...which Milton did the last you guys were here, too. I know that it isn't something that you shouldn't do with most birds...but there's always exception to every rule...
