What a sweetie. Bebe is not a big mover either. But I think it more being crammed into a little cage for so long.
I think Mónica has or had a very elderly TielI think I remember someone had a tiel that lived until 32? Does anyone remember that? I think that's the oldest I have heard of.
Have to agree.Quite the handsome boy for 30! While it may have been sad for the owner .... peace of mind knowing he'll be in great care makes the heart hurt a little less.
Hahaha no way...... he’s entered @sunnysmom ‘s home- he’s going nowhere now!!!Wait. If she's just fostering, could the old owner take her back?
yep, for some weird reason you only get 10 minutes now...I just posted the story. Somehow after I posted the pic, I guess I took too long to reedit.
I adopted Scooter, who a 20 year old tiel, not long ago but I had been fostering him for awhile. I don't have Rosie's owner's info but the rescue where he was relinquished does. I know the adoption coordinator is very good about giving updates to anyone who wants them. Scooter's former owner recently inquired about him. I told the adoption coordinator that I'd be happy to send updates directly if the former owner wanted me to and would do the same for Rosie.I didn't know you had one tiel before.
And now Rosie.
I have always thought of you as a tiel person so it's awesome that you can "foster" two.
Now I have to search for your latest threads.
I wonder if you can contact Rosie's old owner just to let her now that he is safe and will be really good taken care of.
Or perhaps you already have?
30 years is a long time, really happy that he is with you now.
No. The owner relinquished him to the rescue. So the rescue is now his owner. I guess theoretically the owner could apply to adopt him. But my understanding is her health condition wouldn't permit that anyway.Wait. If she's just fostering, could the old owner take her back?
You are AWESOME!I told the adoption coordinator that I'd be happy to send updates directly if the former owner wanted me to and would do the same for Rosie.
