Awwww what cuties!!!! What is a Wheaten terrier's personality like? I know that mini dachshunds, (mine is Heidi) are overly protective, and they loooove to burrow in blankets!! Here are a couple of pics of my dog!

Sigh, I can’t tell you how many people have been introduced to me and told me, “I had a dog named Heidi!” (my name). I do have a special soft spot for dachshunds; they have a similar head shape and soulful hound eyes to my beloved Whippets...who also love burrowing under blankets. My Polly expects me to lift the covers many times throughout the night so she can curl up there until she gets overheated.

I used to babysit a friend’s Wheaton when she traveled for business...such a sweet, smart little guy!

Well, they HATE squirrels and bark at birds. If they’re in the same room as Percy and hear him squawk, it’s all eyes on him. I trained them not to go into my room though—I still keep a watchful eye and keep my door shut when I’m gone. They’re very vocal, their whines are adorable, they “sing” when the piano is played by howling and lots of other stuff!
