We brought Buddy home just a little while ago. I didn't want to be too much in his face to get a picture of his toes, but as you can see he's able to cling to his cage without any problem!

This is the coconut swing I made for him.

Buddy is very cute. Congrats. What type of metal chain did you use to make that nice swing? Best to use stainless....safer for our feathered friends.

It's probably zinc plated. Should I take it out? I can get someone to bring stainless chain from the states in a couple of weeks.

Awe he is adorable. I’m not sure if the chain is safe or not just watch him and see if he chews on it or climbs the actual chain part. You wouldn’t want him to get his beak or toes stuck in the chain links. I’ve been using plastic clips (from Amazon) to hang toys without the chain. Cute set up overall though.

Thanks! So far he's shown no interest in the chain at all. I am going to order some stainless chain and have someone bring it down to me asap.

That’s the beauty of birds. Some birds get tangled up in toys other birds have had no issue with in their cages for years. They truest are individuals. I think that’s a great plan.

Zinc plated is no good for birds. Stainless steel is always the best.
Hopefully your new chains arrive soon so Buddy can have his swing back :) ❤

Wow! Adorable birb and super cute swing, but I would agree with swapping the existing chain with either sturdy plastic ones or, ideally, stainless steel. Buddy is so cute!!
