Medical question: Reverse Sneezing, gagging, and wheezing

Hi all,

My shihtzu poodle mix had a bout of reverse sneezing while he was in the middle of eating and started gagging while doing so. Since then the breathing from his nose has a wheeze to it, and he has continued to reverse sneeze and gag every 5-10 minutes

He is still walking around and sniffing for crumbs like normal. Is it possible for dogs to get food stuck in their sinus from inside the mouth? Like when humans snort while eating and get food in their nose?

Ohhh someone here once before mentioned something about their dog reverse sneezing.. I can't recall who it was though.
