I brought the canary home from the pet store last night. They said he is probably less than 6 months but that he had been singing a lot so they were sure it was a male. They were definitely not bird experts so I am not taking their word for it. This morning he did sing for a few minutes, but since then he's just been doing a lot of chirping. Could he be a she? I don't care either way, would just like to know. He's a happy little thing, whatever he is. I thought he would be traumatized but he's smart enough to know his life just got a lot better.

Congratulations on your new addition Terri! :)

Some birds are quiet the first couple of days in a new home.
