Good evening all, could someone give me information regarding the sex of my blue parrotlet.
I purchased them 2020 late summer . The white is Male as I have noticed him
mating ??? with the blue on numerous occasions with no results.
I notice she? Has a dark blue rump but there is no blue around the eyes as indicated in my literature

Sounds like a female if the white one is mating with her!! If she doesn't have the bright blue feathering across her eyes, under her wings and on her lower back/rump I would suspect that she's a girl. But you might want to get him/her DNA tested to know for sure. Great bird choice though - p'lets are my favourite, even if they can be a bit nippy sometimes

Thank you for confirming and easing my doubts, she nipped me when I placed them in the big cage . Not as bad as a Cockatiel nip ( that took beak shaped flesh from me) . It was always stated that baby budgies nip worse if they are hen chicks and had that proved many times
