If all else fails, I will get another machine I found on Amazon for slightly more but it has a much wider saturation range.

that is so confusing to me as this machine does not exceed 5 LPM (it only has a range of 1-5 L/minute) and yet it says the oxygen saturation is 90%. I will ask my vet about it. Sorry to keep pestering you with questions
I called the contact number in your link. Tech confirmed the range of 86to 90% saturation. Too much oxygen isn’t good either. I have to get the birds dinner so I’ll check back later. Best of luck

I found one of these used but in good condition. Wondering if this would be strong enough to work. It says it is 5 LPM and produced up to 30% saturation.

It says it’s portable. I was advised to get the stationary kind. Something about the oxygen flow not being continuous in portable units.

From more reading, what I understand is that all oxygen concentrators deliver oxygen that is at least 90% oxygen, and it is the LPM that changes the saturation in the air, and I think 1 LPM is what I would want to set it at to keep the tub around 30%.

Update: this morning Poncho had a seizure and I took him to the vet. He called a specialist and prescribed more metacam, but 4x the dosage Poncho had previously been taking. After a week he wants to see him again in which case he may prescribe some kind of seizure medication which may be lifelong. That really scares me!! I asked about the oxygen at home and the specialist said it can help in the postictal phase of a seizure but didn’t see how it would really help him apart from that? Obviously I am not a medical professional and ultimately trust the advice of people who have years of education and experience. However, I have taken Poncho to the vet 3 times in the past 3 weeks for oxygen and seen just how well he improves when he gets a treatment in terms of his balance and wobbliness. They didn’t give him oxygen today and I noticed how clumsy and uncoordinated he was trying to navigate his cage, so since my oxygen concentrator was FINALLY delivered today I did a quick 25 minute treatment and he was soooo much more active, vocal, and coordinated afterwards. I honestly really feel like one or two more treatments this week will help him so much along with the increased metacam. I really respect this vet but he’s not with Poncho 24/7 and hasn’t seen how well he does after an oxygen treatment. I honestly think if he had gotten more oxygen in the first 2 weeks after his concussion, we maybe wouldn’t be having these problems now 3.5 weeks after the accident. I honestly think he would have healed faster. So surely it can’t be too late now to do a few treatments and help boost his recovery along.

I'm with you - both of my GWs had a hour of oxy every day. They were both very ill. My vet approved of the oxygen treatments and the one thing he told me that gave me a lot of comfort is, "You can never hurt a bird by giving them oxygen."

yes! That is what I’m thinking. I will make sure he doesn’t get too high a concentration of course but I feel that it’s worth trying a few times this week since it has seemed to really help in the past.
