Lowrey Park Zoo, Tampa, Florida.

I visited the Lowrey Park Zoo today in Tampa, Florida. I really liked this zoo, it was very nice and all the enclosures were set up where you could see the animals pretty close and at the same time you weren't right in their faces. I took a TON of pictures but I am only going to post some of my favorite...still a ton LOL
I think I am going to start another thread with just the Parrots at the zoo

Parrots at the Zoo

I think I am a Scarlet Addict!

There were a couple plucky butts at the Lorikeet exhibit

This was so cool to see all of these parakeets fully flighted

The sign said Do Not Touch the baby stingrays, they were like the size of a pancake super cute. It was not to not touch the stingrays because they were selling food to feed them LOL That wouldn't make sense

Well, I didn't think they would make them that accessible if they didn't want you to touch them but, it still looks like one of those joke signs with you posing in front of it

Very nice pics. I believe I was there. Do they have a lorie aviary where you get to feed them? Isn't that a burrfish?

Yes they have a Lorikeet aviary I posted another thread with pics of them.
As far as the fish, lol I have no clue, thought the sign said puffer, I don't know haha I am a bird person not a fish person LOL

I believe it could be in the same family as a striped burrfish....the porcupine puffer is as well. Not exactly sure which one, but basically it is a puffer.

Great pics! I love the elephant ones. And that puffer is pretty - i tried to convince my dad to get one awhile ago but nooo - he wanted the lionfish. lol.
