About 2 weeks ago my lovebird hen laid an egg- I’d taken the nesting box out thinking breeding season was over so it slipped through the bars in the bottom of the cage & broke. I put the nesting box back in and she proceeded to lay another 4 eggs. She’s been sitting on them & I haven’t seen her out of the nesting box- only the male. However she was out last night so I candle’d the eggs- firstly, they where cold despite her being in there & for the dates that they been laid they don’t look to be fertile to me (we’re 7 days off the first on hatching!) there is a yolk, air sac, but no veins etc. this morning she’s back out of the nesting box and they’re mating again- so am I right in thinking that they’re infertile?
