We got our now 1.5 year old lovey right after he was weaned. He refused chop or any fresh food and I was afraid of affecting his rapid growth at such a young age so I gave in & let him rely mostly on seed mix. Life has slowed down and I have more time to focus on getting him switched over to pellets and chop now, we want our boy to live a long and healthy life! I have been giving him chop mixed with seed mix to some success each morning. I'll continue to reduce the seed mix as we go. I would like to introduce pellets but am wondering if the TOPs mini ones are too large for lovebirds. I have seen mixed reviews. I'm also interested in finding a healthier seed mix for a treat/training. Looking to avoid soy and too much fat. Thanks for any recommendations!

Any larger sized pellets can be smashed a little to make smaller pieces.
