Lapis and Nube enjoying their breakfast. I think it is their favourite meal of the day :)

Just a simple one today; Strawberries with tops, green peppers, courgette, pumpkin, peas, rocket, couple of pieces of sweetcorn, sprouted lentils, mung beans and sunflower seeds, poppy seeds, slight sprinkle of natural millet.

It started off very civilised.....

What good birdie eaters they are. I don't know the term Rocket. Is that an herb?

. They certainly love their food.
What good birdie eaters they are.
These two are my best eaters but least civiliesd eaters.
They will eat anything I put in front of them. They start eating like all my other birds perched on the edge of the bowl or plate, but within minutes it turns into a monkeys tea party; standing in food, flinging food and when they finally finish eating, a couple of poops left in the bowl :shifty:

I don't know the term Rocket.
It´s not a herb, it is a leaf. I´m not sure if there is a different term in the US for it, usually you have it in leaf mixes for salads. It i a skinny leaf with jaggedy edges.
I just checked wikipedia, they list it as Arugula (?) Eruca sativa - Wikipedia
In Spain it is called Rucula. In the UK, I only ever heard it called Rocket :)

:heart:They are so cute eating their food so happily.:eating: Looks yummy too! That’s how my birds eat. Not sure why they have to stand in their food all the time!:wacky:

I’m new to this and I have an opportunity to rescue a 6 month old love bird. My question is, can this bird still be socialize at 6 months? To my knowledge it lives in a large cage with other love birds and has rarely been handled.
