Hi all
Not a lot to say. We have 16 (so far) African Lovebirds. A few are hand fed and trained. Sadly since joining my avatar bird Toto died. He had a very pronounced defect in his beak and essentially his upper beak grew deeply into his lower and I think it slowly starved him. An extremely sad day. He's buried with a nice marker in our front garden.
I am retired. We live in Iloilo Philippines. Previous to here I lived in Panama for 11 years. My bird experience goes back to the seventies when I had a nice bunch of Zebra Finches.
Having birds in PH means one has to rely on other breeders. There are not much supplies available - except online. Virtually no vets that know birds (fighting roosters excepted).
Glad to be a part of this online community.
