Hi all

I need some advice, my quaker is 18 months. He moulted in September and October, however, there is a patch of missing feathers on his head, please see the photo attached. Is this normal or is something wrong?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Completely normal. Those little stick things are the new feathers in the keratin sheath called pin feathers. When they are fully developed the keratin sheath will flake off ta-da a new feather. I can't resist the temptation to help the process. Cute baby by the way and welcome to the site.
