Lost cockatiel. Need advice

I lost my cockatiel about 38 hours ago, and I don't know what to do anymore. The moment she flew I ran after her but then she disappeared behind a tree and stopped screaming (she screams when she flies) I searched the whole area and 300 meters in all directions from where I last saw her. I called her name, whistled, played flock calls but she refused to answer. I got up at dawn the next day so she could hear me more clearly without all of the extra noise but she still didn't answer. Now it's day 3 and she still isn't answering any whistles or calls. I am very worried, I fear she is gonna leave the area today, or maybe she left it already. I have searched everywhere, checked every tree she could have landed on, informed all of my neighbors and printed out posters. I still don't have any leads. I am so worried about her, I am terrified that the reason she isn't responding was because something happened to her. Does anyone have any advice? Will she have enough energy to find her way back when the adrenaline wears off? I play every once in a while flock calls on my balcony and her cage is elevated so she can spot it. And why isn't she answering?

Please if anyone has any advice or has experience in this I really need help. I'm so scared for her. I don't want her to spend another night outside and google is useless

The only thing I can suggest is to use social media to put the word out. You might try calling the vets in your area and let them know about the situation in case she shows up. I am so sorry you are going thru this, Best of luck in finding her.

Put her cage outside your door. Get a speaker, start BLASTING her screams (do you have any videos of her screaming)? Just try and make as much noise that she is familiar with as possible. She's super disoriented and freaked out right now, anything that could get her attention. From everything I've seen, the biggest risk isn't going to be her exiting the area.. they can't fly that far (it's tiring). The biggest risk will be weather (its too cold) or her being attacked by a hawk. However, they are still very smart.. I've heard of people finding their bird 8 months after it's originally lost. Don't give up just yet.

Also when you post on social media, you're going to get a lot of scam artists. Make sure you have questions about her appearance that ISN'T in the photos that you post. Don't give out too much info so you can vet whoever claims to have her. (I wouldn't give out her band number... for example... so if someone claims they have her I'd ask what color and what the number is)

I still didn't get any reply scream from her, shouldn't she seek me out now that she's hungry? It's already been 56 hours. I am terrified I missed her scream as it gets rather loud in here

We don't have any hawks in the area and it's very hot here, my biggest concern is her finding water. There's plenty of trees in the area, and so idk how I should continue the search when she isn't answering me. I can't check every single tree.

If you don't mind, could i ask a few more questions? How long should I continue blasting her screams and flock calls, and for how many days? I don't want to disturb my neighbors too much.
Also is it normal for her not to answer even after more than 48 hours? Or should I assume she left the area or someone caught her?

The issue is that she's never been outside. She wants to come back to you - but she doesn't know where home is. Keep her cage outside and playing the flock calls as often as you can without disturbing your neighbors. She might not be calling back because she's freaked out, I know that's not the answer you want but... it happens. I know you can't check every tree, but just spending 10-15 minutes every day walking around, calling for her and spreading ground with some friends can be beneficial. Keep posting on the internet. Call rescues, shelters, and alert everyone you're looking for her.

It's hard to tell. Every bird is different. Do it for how long you feel is beneficial. If it were me, I'd give it at least a week or two before completely giving up.

Pay attention to craigslist and FB marketplace in your area. If she was caught by someone, the chances are pretty good that they will try to find the owner and return her... however there are bad people out there. Economy kinda sucks. There is potential someone might find her and try to sell her off so stay diligent. Not sure how social media savvy you are... but you could probably get more reach with TikTok as well. Use one of the viral "sad music" some cute pics of her, that you're missing her, etc. The more people looking, the greater chances you'll find her before anything happens.

I contacted everyone, still no leads. Someone spotted a cockatiel but it wasn't mine I'm praying we find her soon
