Hi, I would be delighted if you would consider allowing Chloe to come and rule our " Roost" While I have never owned an African Grey, I have had experience, (through a friend) of looking after the same. I am 60 yrs old, ( which might be an issue for you?) and my age is one of the reasons I am keen to take on an older bird. While I am in good health and have adult children who would be happy to take on my pets, (2 dogs/1 Cat/1 hen and 11 Ducks and a Wood Pigeon) I am keen to make sure none of my " Beasties" are left uncared for, ( Gosh what a miserable intro! -I have fair depressed myself!) Myself and my partner are both home all day, ( he is a writer so based at home) We live in a farmhouse in the Scottish Borders and as you can prob tell like animals. We have plenty of room and I am happy to ensure she has all the space/nutrition/toys she needs to enjoy life.
Should you decide we are not the right people for your wee girl, I am sure you will soon find the right person for her. We would be delighted to offer her a home. I should add that we have never rehomed any of our own pets, all our animals have lived out their lives with us. Luckily we haven't been in your position, but I can imagine how awful it is for you.
I am not sure where you are based? Kindest regards Ruth.
