Hi there! I currently have two cockatiels. Pretty Bird is almost 26, and Nova is about 5. We lost my third bird back in July, which was heart breaking for both me and Nova. Now, we are looking to adopt another bird to keep Nova company (Pretty Bird sleeps a lot and is more keen on me then he is on Nova.). If anyone knows of any cockatiels in or near Orange County, California that need a home, let me know. :)

Are there any rescues near you? They often have tiels listed in craig's list too. At least here they do.

Have you done a search on Petfinder and Pet Harbor?
Here is a rescue located in Redlands: Olive Branch Parrot Rescue
Lily Sanctuary is located in Fountain Valley: The Lily Sanctuary |
I have no direct knowledge of either of these places.

Hi everyone, thanks for your responses. There's only one at any local rescue and I don't think he will work out for us, but there's one on craigslist that may work out. :)

Make sure that if and when you get the new bird you quarantine it from your others for at least 30-45 days. Also bring the bird to the vet for a new bird check up. Check with the sellers to see if they have any vet records.
