Wow, you're right. His feather condition is poorer - he had such a beautiful sheen to his feathers before poor Lil'Dude. So glad you were able to get him back - I'm sure he will be his bright green-ish self in no time! He's very handsome!

Update: LIL Dude ate all his MASH!!! Yea! I use Shauna's Mash from feeding feathers forum. Awesome recipe...so nutritionally complete. Now I need to work on his being totally territorial over his cage. Awesome when he's out terror in the cage. Got me good when I was changing the water...would be better if his big cage was here. GRRR! Ship faster. You try not to invade personal space in an 11x16 cage.

hey there!!! so so glad that your baby is back where he originally started from.not very often that you hear of birds eventually ending up back with the original owner they started out with...for all those out there my TAG was basically raised by dodgegirl, and hes a wonderful sweet grey whos a suck. i tooke him to the vet the vet had performed a fecal float, a gram stain and a fecal smear. everything came back great and his lungs sound healthy. althopugh he still is acting a little offish, i hope he will be okay. lil, dude and iggy, ( my TAG) are both miracle birds indeed. theres a story behind iggys egghood though..lol. it is quite sad and disheartening to hear because some people are idiots and should never own a bird. birds are special....as far as lil dudes concerned, he will be back to his shiny lkustrous plumage in no time. beautiful buird nonetheless.

Awww, what a sad story, but a very happy ending, he's back home where he belongs. It totally sickens me to see ppl feed only seed and toss them in a small cage. I'm happy for you that he's now where he belongs and I know he'll quickly be back to his good food, I hope he hasn't forgotten how good they taste. I can't believe someone would feed seed that is that old and buy such a big bag for such a little guy. He's in great hands now! Happy for you cause his is now going to get the right kind of care.
