My bird Paulie has been acting lethargic lately. He doesn't squawk much which is unusual. Usually he'll squawk if I leave his sight. He doesn't eat as much banana as usual. He's less enthusiastic about his food. I remembered today that a week ago I shared a smoothie with him. Perfectly normal all good stuff He loves but this time it had an avocado in it. I know better but forgot because it was the first time I added an avocado. He had a few little sips, not much and it was a week ago, same day my mom was in the ICU. He started acting weird 2 or 3 days ago. During which my mom is home doing better but so much stress and worry monitoring her health. I can't tell if Paulie is reacting to our stress this time or if something is wrong with him.

Best way to find out is a trip to the avian vet.
