I have question for more experienced owner.
So my conure has not been interested in many toys. Been trying to find things he likes since i adopted him. However, today while i bought a small lego set my bird instantly loved them and wanted to chew the peices.
One block he took a munch out of and spit it out, and tried to fight me when i took them away.

If i bought him his own lego peices would it be safe for him. I would monitor him of course while he did so. But i wanna see others opinions before i go ahead and do that.

I'd be extremely hesitant to risk that with him. Legos being a hard plastic would be an awful thing to get stuck in his throat or stomach it's definitely not made of bird safe materials.

If i bought him his own lego peices

If you wanted to do that, opt for the duplo ones that are bigger, made for toddlers to avoid choking hazards.

Plastics are a weird thing, and you'll probably get no definite answer. For me, if it's going to create a sharp point when chewed, it's a no. They can hurt themselves on sharp plastics. The fact that he chewed it so quickly makes me think it wouldn't be an appropriate toy.

Part of the reason he was into it is because you were into it Try getting some bird toy parts and fiddling with them the way you were the LEGO pieces. That might help him see that they are fun, too

The material itself is non-toxic. The study I've linked to below discusses the effects of six adults swallowing Lego heads and how long it took to pass the heads. No ill-effects were recorded.

However, Lego hasn't been tested as safe for parrots and how parrots play with things. I would be concerned about your bird cracking or splintering the blocks.

As someone else suggested, use parrot-safe materials like (safe) wood, cardboard, palm leaves, sola, paper and so on. You could get colourful, dyed pieces if he was interested in the colours. If your bird was interested in the blocks because you were playing with them, then let him watch and "help" you make bird toys - just punching holes in some cardboard pieces and stringing them on some paper rope may get him interested.
