Now that I have an official bird room, I would like to hang a few knotted ropes like perches from the ceiling like I have seen other people do.

Where do you get the thick rope?

I want nets and boings too but I know where to get those :)

Ooo, congrats on the official bird room!
I'd check out TLA, I think I've seen a lot of stuff there.
Also, google Cheepparrottoysandtips, they have this really great step by step instruction on how to build atoms!

No I don't have pictures yet because it's boring!
I have nothing but two cages in it so far LOL

I am planning a small loveseat or recliner,
a small dresser in the closet with a TV on top, A radio, and some playthings hung on the ceiling.

but right now I have just cages. I have my playstands in the livingroom.

California Bird Nerds sells 1/4" and 3/8" sisal rope. We also sell cotton rope 1/4", 5/16" and 1/2".

If I order cotton rope how would I set it up to hang horizontally on my ceiling?

Something like this, but with knots in it, I want to use cotton I think.

I've seen them before but now I don't remember who has them.

Don't get a recliner! The mechanisms inside can crush and kill small pets (and cell phones X( ) if someone accidentally moves it. A loveseat is much safer.

I have cotton rope hanging that the birds climb on. Put up some eye hooks and not the rope through it a couple of times.

Just spread the perch further apart. We have that exact one hanging from our ceiling with the net and all our birds (including Emma) perch on it! It's great and easy to grip and clean! That's why I like sisal!

You can order Hemp rope up to 3 inches thick. I order the 2 1/2 inch rope but you need to order a whole spool. Some where around 60 to 70 ft on a spool at that thickness.

I bought it here. Hemp rope

You can order thick Sisal rope here. Sisal Rope

I have them hanging all over. It's the way my flightless birds travel around the house.

I am not sure how I would exist without my rope perches. My birds grip them soo well and if I string them say 4 inches apart they love hopping back and fourth on them.

I have every lenght and color and I am always wanting more :):)
