Koko's egg

Last night at 10:30 Koko laid her second egg. As soon as she laid it she tucked her head and went to sleep. Back to normal today.

Looks like Koko isn't a natural "momma" - to me that is a good thing.

Have you left the eggs this time, or did your dummy eggs arrive for you to use yet? I don't have hens so I'm just curious, lol!

Oh man... you keep that eggie stuff by you okay. I have three girls but only two have laid... Kailua is enough drama without an egg and I don't want to know how much fun she would be with one.

Has she sat yet or just dropped them?

She just drops them. Wants nothing to do with them I just take them out. I haven't put the dummies in since she doesn't show any interest in sitting on them. It works for me!

I'm sure she is! I'm amazed at how small the egg is.

Oh my gosh is she wild tonight! She goes from running across the floor to swinging like mad on her swing I got from Seriously nutz. Her eyes are pinning and she laughing at everything. She's starting to scare me. Lol it's supposed to storm and I'm betting she's going to lay her 4th egg

If she lays more you might consider throwing the dummy eggs in. I know she doesn't seem to care but sometimes having them will stop the cycle. Are you getting calcium rich foods in her? Have the eggs looked fully formed and hard?

She is young and I'm sure doing great but just double checking.

She's eating very well and the eggs look good. 2 minutes ago she laid the 4th one. I'm getting the dummies out!

Yah, she is determined. Just put them in a little box or something where she laid them. Maybe she will sit out the rest of the cycle. LOL

I weigh her everyday and it goes from about 1290 to 1300 grams. She does love most greens vegetables but carrots are her favorite but less calcium.
