Last night at 10:00 afterwards she wouldn't go near it. I don't know if I did the right thing by removing it. Screenshot_20210628-090443_Messages.jpg

Generally, it is not a good idea to remove the egg - they many times continue to lay. But if your girl just isn't the motherly type - and some aren't - it will do no harm to remove the egg. If you haven't broken it, why don't you boil it and put it back in to see if she will sit on it and get the mother foolishness over with?

I'm kicking myself for not leaving it. It has a small crack on the bottom so I can't boil it or I would. Koko went right back up to her sleeping perch after that and this morning eating and drinking as usual. She's giving me more grey hair. Lol

Buy a few dummy eggs. I just swap them when I get them. I let them sit it out if they want to BUT... I still take them out of the cage everyday. I don't allow them to sit all day on an egg. I bring them out as usual and put them back at bedtime. If any of my guys were hysterical about that I would put them back "early" but not just leave them in all day everyday. Too bad... I'm the meanie.

I'm ordering 4 dummy eggs. I'm hoping that's enough for her. She was waiting to get out first thing this morning so I'm hoping that's a good sign.

The only bird I ever had fight with me about coming off the eggs was Cha Cha. Of course also the only one I ever had that had such a laying problem with that I got her the depo shot. I think Koko will be fine.

Might explain why she has been so disturbed lately. ;)

My daughter was gone the whole day Saturday and I swear Koko was overjoyed. As soon as Tash walked in the house she was greeted by Koko's backside. I haven't told Tash she needs to move out yet. Lol

@Kassiani no! Thank you for asking. We have been ignoring her when she flips us the tail. Lol I was wondering if she gets jealous of Tash because she sees Howard on her all the time. Tash said she would trade Koko for an Amazon :roflmao:

Nothing yet! I told her last night it's pointless and to focus on other things. We'll see if it helped :hilarious:
