Kakariki - Parakeet vs Cockatiel Pellets?

I have been reading that Kakarikis should have a high quality parakeet food offered (as well as fresh veg and fruit).

Is this due to particular nutrients in parakeet food? I can’t imagine it’s due to size, and he’s roughly the same size as Tteok (my cockatiel), with a bit larger of a beak.

I ask, because I obviously have cockatiel food on hand, and he doesn’t seem particularly interested in parakeet seed mix (or fresh veg, except snow peas).

As far as I know parakeet and cockatiel pellets (really small bird pellets in general) have the same nutritional profiles, so I don't think that would matter which one that he ate. I think it would be fine offering him cockatiel food.
