I have never been able to get these two on pellet on matter how I tried. But I don't feed Sunflower seed as a staple in their diet, they do get a few everyday BUT i control how many.

Anyway I have no way to store a 25 pound bag of bird food here so I have to break it down. I use One Gallon ziplock baggies as they hold 4 pounds on the seed mix. That mean 6 bagies and a pound left over (I just toss into the bag I'm feeding from now. Only take about 30 minuntes to get it done and then the bags go into a large gasketed contained, keep the bugs out! And we are set. I have found no matter where you look it cost pretty much the same where you can get burned is shipping. I get through Amazon as I have Prime I have to pay a $2.00 at most and tax. Plus it's here over night or two days.

If the bags store flat is there any room in your freezer to store them? Maybe a mini fridge. Just in case there are any buggies hiding out. :D

BTW... I also order from Petguys ( PetGuys ) I get my roudybush mini and small from them and Volkman seed for treats only. All of my crew do well eating pellets. I order my zupreem from Chewy when it's on sale and I have a coupon or else I grab deals from Petsmart when they have a sale on bags. My last purchase from them the zupreem was on sale AND they had 20% off so I really scarfed ... ordered enough to get free shipping. :D

You reminded me to order merlin's safflower seeds, thank you! He's difficult with his diet too. He only gets seed at bedtime and only a small amount but I will be punished if he runs out. I've noticed that his zupreem pellets have went from around $14 for a 3.5# bag to $24 on Chewy. I don't know how some of you can afford to feed your bigger flocks

The pellets I ordered the end of May were on sale 20% off and the whole store offered 20% off your entire order. I bought eight bags at 40% off. They will last me a while. Two amazons and 6 conures, plus I order Roudybush from a seller that always has them on sale. If I spend 59.00 dollars with them I get free shipping. Not hard to do for me. Seeds are only a night time pleasure in a very limited amount. Keeps them busy at first while I'm changing papers. I give small portions of nuts to the biggies and at lock up time for the littles they get small bits of walnuts. I don't have to chase anybody down to go to bed, they either go in on their own with anticipation of their treat or they step up happily. I love to see them rush inside for that treat. Once in a while Miss Scarlette has the googly eyes for Casey and wants to stay out and I just say "Come on" and point to her door and she scampers right in. I also order my safflower seeds by Volkman ( 12.65 for 4lbs ) from Petguys with my Roudybush and other seed. Great store. PetGuys

BTW... I was a little freaked out by the new package design on the Zupreem for the smaller birds because the photo made the pellets look like the same as the big bird pellets so I wrote and asked about it. They are still the small round shape but the product photo is incorrect. No way Jose would my littles tackle a giant nugget!

Are you ordering the 3.5 lb of Zupreem fruit blend? It's the only one on Chewy that price. The natural zupeem 3lb bag is on sale on Chewy for 14.98. I just noticed on the page of the natural from Chewy it says Buy One Get the second one 50% off. If that applies to the sale price you could buy four bags for 44.70. For the heck of it to see if it did apply I put four bags of the Zupreem Natural with the 14.98 price in my cart and it and clicked on the BOGO coupon and it only took 7.49 off my total - making the four bags a total of 52.43. ( and free shipping ). It really should give 50% off two bags if you purchase four but it looks like only one deal can be applied to this purchase.

Once in a blue moon I get a 15.00 coupon from Chewy when I haven't ordered from them for a while ... code MISSYOU15. I feed the biggies the natural zupreem.

The regular price at Petsmart is 18.99 .. now marked at 18.27. These were on sale at 20% off for 14.61 and then the extra store coupon of 20% made them 11.69 a bag. I forgot to mention Petsmart is where I bought my last 8 bags as shown in my previous post. I just happened to catch it at the right time to snag the extra 20% offer and get them at the sale price before the extra discount. I'm on their mailing list. I get AT LEAST two emails a day from Petsmart. With my budget I have to shop a sale and when I'm down to opening my last bags I get the heebie jeebies about finding a sale.. I always order just enough to get free shipping or delivery ( Petsmart is maybe 4 miles from me ). I always check the Best Buy date on the bags too to make sure they're good and no fear of them going bad.

Hope this isn't boring.. I drive myself crazy for those best deals. I do it with dog food too. I have a Petsuppliesplus store a mile and a half south of me and when they have a storewide coupon I hot foot it to the store!

Yes it's fruit blend. He eats it everyday so I won't complain. Some weeks he eats all green and yellow, other weeks he likes red and purple. :meh: He never touches the orange. I really need to check my local stores, I've just been lazy about shopping.

When Henry and Lola were young they were very good about eating cooked vegetables... squash, sweet potatoes... too many to name. Now I have to practically mince them when I add them in to my cooked mash. They do love fresh celery, Lola basically destroys carrot.... Henry ain't having it. Corn is a delicacy when they get it, occasionally some cooked egg. I think Henry's eyes bug out when he sees the egg in his cup.... "Ooooo... num num.." I also buy Volkman Featherglow Birdie's Buffet. I cook it, add lots of extras to it before cooking and when it's done I do rinse it in a strainer. I know it loses some value doing that but that's how they like it. Otherwise they won't touch it. There's so much that can be added I don't use much of it for all the extras I throw in. It's a late evening supplement meal. I try to just give a couple tablespoons of this, a couple tablespoons of mixed pastas and something else. I top the pasta with minced cooked apple so I can put a drop of loxicam for Lola. I shop around for that too and did get it from Amazon for 26.58. I Just checked and it says it is out of stock. This place has it for 3.00 more. Volkman Featherglow Birdie's Buffet, 4 lb

Anyway.. this was what I served last night. They left the grape, ate some of the pasta and scarfed on the corn. The corn is high priority. :D

My guys get their goodies in the morning. Half a today it was grape, part of a tangerine, a chunk of an apple, and some of the Raison Brand (no raisons, too much sugar) and a few Cheerios. And THREE Sunflower seeds. Guess what they eat first! :p

We all have that ONE JOB of bird care we dislike and mine's breaking down that 25 pound of seed mix. I don't know why it takes less than 20 minuntes from start to done with the clean up. I end up with 6 @ 4 pound bags and a pound or so that I add to the "Working" bag in the fridge. Well it's dome for the next 5 months...I have a hard time understanding where it all goes. I know two little Green Cheek Conures ain't eating all that. Then I look in the bottom of the cage and the remember emptying all three vacuum cleaners, robot, stick and hand vacuums, of their loads every week and the mess on the floor around their cages. I guess these two eat maybe 4 or 5 oz each and the rest becomes floor fodder! Like you or me buying a side of beef and throwing all but a pound of hamburger out. Bet they'd get their act together if THEY had to pay for it!

I really like the safety pumice perches I bought from you. They work great on the toenails on my conures. The small is the perfect size! I'm not sure what post recently but I gave a shout out to your store for perches. Should've added a tag too. Hope you are doing well!
