My green cheek Tango was play on his swing. The swing is held up by thin chain and toys wrapped around them.
I got up to get a drink . When I returned this little bone head got his beak stuck on the link of the chain. The part the that the link closes together. I went got some cutters cut the chain above and below him. Took him out saw how the chain was ,cut the link and his beak was fine.i held him for a second I looked at him he looked at me and grab a mouth full of my finger . Al I could do was laugh and put him in his cage.
I pull the rest of the swing out and tossed it out.

You could take a picture of the swing with the remaining chain so other members who may have something similar know they should get rid of that specific swing or any toys that have similar chain. Somewhere here there's a thread about things that are dangerous for birds. Glad you were able to help him out of that situation.

I have the same swing in my indain ringnecks cage. I am still considering if I should take it out of his cage. I have never seen him chew on the chain. He loves swinging on it. So I will get a picture of it and post it. Not a great picture. In the morning I will post a cleaner picture.

Here is the swing. You can see the chains going up.
Those little links is what he grabbed.

Cute swing that looks like it would be great for activity. But if there is one way to be a problem they will find it. Glad he wasn't hurt. Thanks for adding the photos!

I think I have similar ones but so far neither of my Conures have got anything other then a toe caught and they usually wiggle free on their own. I definitely need to trim Pippens toenails but she's a nippy lil bugger. Nobody has ever got a beak caught here that I'm aware of.

If you don't have one try the Safety Pumice Perch in the small size. Works well on the toenails of my conures. I need one more. I thought I bought for all the conures. I bought them from Claire - Kazoo

I have a bunch of similar perches in their cages but she mostly hangs out on her platform and sleeps stuck to the side of the cage with her head cuddled under her walnut helmet/chew toy by her C/H heater panel. I could probably just grab a toe and nip off the ends a bit but not sure I want the battle or stress her out.
I keep getting nice free toys from Amazon Vine lately to review and keep and I have yet another pedi style perch and a cool looking glass and stainless steel water bottle on the way for one of the flock, probably her.

Well it's invitation only. They keep track of what customers write good reviews and they ask if you want to join the program. Aparantly my reviews were good so I got a invite to join. You have to keep what you get for 6 months and you pay 10 percent tax according to the stated value. Sometimes the tax program says it was a one time hobby and you don't have to pay, but most times you do so I plan for that. Now that I'm retired who knows how that is going to work out but I have lots of spare parts for the cars, pc parts, a laptop, security cameras, mini pcs etc, all kinds of stuff. I can get up to 8 items a day because I earned gold status with no limits on value :)
