She is 4 months & 2 weeks old. We got her January 14th, so we've only had her 6 days. The parrot store gave her what they call a "baby clip". They partially clip 4 flights. She launches herself off the top of the parrot tower, flies thru the living room into the dining room. I'm sitting at my desk in the dining room. There is a archway between the living room & dining room, so it's a straight line to me. I'd guess about 16 feet. She started flying on day two. Most times she'd land on the floor. Yesterday she managed to fly from the living room into the dining room & land on my arm. She did it again tonight. I figured it takes weeks or longer to teach her this.
A couple days ago she sat on the back of my desk chair (high back) & we watched videos of cockatoos dancing. I muted the sound as I didn't want her to listen to them all screaming away. Tonight while she was on the parrot tower she was flapping, bobbing & dancing away. She even flipped over backwards & hung upside down. She did let out a couple screams. She doesn't seem to be nervous about anything so far. She just calmly sits & takes everything in. She seems to be a fast learner. She figured out the water bottle after I showed her one time. They do not use them a the parrot store, so it was her first time seeing one.
I'm working on getting her to eat her veggies/chop. I held her pellets this morning & she did eat a little veggies. She's playing more with her toys. Between yesterday & today she destroyed a pine cone. She has several hanging toys & several foot toys to play with. She hasn't gotten on the swing yet. I'm only getting her out of her cage in the evening, as I want her to learn to play by herself & not become a Velcro bird.
