Jardine bird id band help

Hello!
I recently adopted an older Jardines parrot from a hoarding abuse case in NY, october 2024. My little bird is simply the sweetest birdie around. Love him so so much. He has a scissor beak which we trim regularly and loves crinkle paper. I’ve been trying to find any info I can on his past. He has an ID band which reads “ D&L FL 39 “
Does anyone know what that corresponds too?
Avian vet said he has cataracts, and was severely malnourished and emaciated with a URI when we got him. Since then he’s gained 20 grams and is learning to fly again we suspect.

Wow @Mizzely this sounds so much like Ripley. The D&L most likely stands for the aviary that bred him in Florida and he was probably the 39th Jardines hatched.

Searching for DLT FL breeder. Orange wing amazon with closed band. Anyone have a clue what aviary this is?

Good luck in tracking the breeder down! I wish there was a standardized system for breeder bands!

Thanks everybody ! It’s possible that SHE came from a store called For Birds Only in Mineola NY which has since closed down or an unknown breeder in florida.
But we are still on the search! Our Lil Dom is also confirmed a She lol
