So pleased it has turned out alright,it is hard when our large animals fall ill.
Our 30yrold and 41yr old mares are touch wood very hardy as they spend the whole year outdoors. They are rugged up for the Winter and fed twice a day besides the Haylage bales etc, but you have to worry about them don't you?

Yes, the antibiotic did the trick! She is feeling better, the lump is gone and thankfully it has frozen enough nights that the ticks finally went underground for the year! Geeesh...I've never seen them last this long.
