Awwwwwwwww. I guess that was worth the wait. But what is his name.
His name is Lovey. I like to call him Love.
Congrats. How long will you be fostering him for or is this a foster and then adoption by you situation?
Honestly, the foster is to timidly see if he works well with my household to adopt. But I have decided not to adopt. I love him and I love caring for him, but I think the noise and responsibility in the long-term will be too much. I have come to "why rush?". I think I am speaking with my head, rather than my heart, to say I should wait until I am more stable.
I am really enjoying fostering though, I think caring for one large bird is a goal/dream of mine. I will keep him no more than a month (3-4 weeks). He is a very good boy, I feel lucky to have him.
He has been a busy, busy bird. He is a plucker, but so cute. He likes to throw everything off his cage, tree stand, and my desk. Then I put it all back for him and he does it again and again. A fun game. My mom gifted him a plastic baby teething toy and he has destroyed it in a few days. Their beaks are so powerful.
