I set up the full-spectrum light for Jewel this morning... hoping it would help her, but not expecting anything right away.

its like someone flipped a switch! Ever since we turned it on, she's been doing more vocalizing. Wolf-whistles, clicks, clucks, gurgles, the beep of a truck backing up, one sound that sounded like a car alarm...I thought I heard her imitate a dog barking, another sould I couldn't make out...

I wish I had a decent video camera.. its been so wild! (and all of it happy sounds)

We can tell people that most of the lighting in our home is like having them in the shadows UNTIL they do what you did!!!!
It will be like opening up an whole new world to him!
I have 4 shop lights with full spectrum 48 inch bulbs in each rooms the birds are in...and my house "sings"!!!!!I turn them on / off 1 hours after sun rise and 1 hour after....during the winter months

You certainly can but "one" bulb does not nearly give enough light to get rid of the "shadowy" world as BF said.

I would like to know too. I live in California, so we have a lot of sun. My birds in my office, and there is a good sized window. It seems like they get a lot of light, but it's filtered. I would like to know if you can get a regular lightbulb that just goes into your light.

simple answer, yes. But not all FS bulbs are equal and some fixtures are better than others.

Oh yeah! and I'm so happy she's happy.

The water dripping sounds she makes and the dog barking are my favorites.. I LOL each time she does it.
