It's been four years since I lost my sweet Sunny

It was four years ago yesterday that Sunny flew to the Rainbow Bridge. It's hard to believe that it's been that long. I still think about him every day. He truly changed my life. Because of him, I joined this forum and made such wonderful friends. Because of him, I now help with the parrot rescue and have my current flock. There will never be another bird like Sunny. He was my heart bird, and he thought I was his whole world. Although he lived to be 20, he was only with me for 5 of those years. It's never enough time. You always want more. But I know he was happy. I know he had a good life with us. I just wish, of course, that he was still with us. But I remind myself that because of him, three other birds now have a loving home.

You will always have a place in my heart. I miss you my sweet boy.

Thanks. It's one of my favorites. It just happened- I'm not even sure how I blacked out the background. LOL. And my fiance as a Christmas present to me one year, did enlarge it and put it in a frame.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate all of your kind words. Anniversary dates are bittersweet. It makes me miss him more, but it also give me a chance to reflect on what a special little bird he was and how lucky I was to have him in my life.
