I picked up a little pot of wheat grass from the grocery store today because it looked delicious (when I saw it with bird eyes anyways), but I have got to wondering if it is safe? It is organic and I will rinse it well, but I worry about residues from the soil nonetheless... I have not tried wheat grass with them yet, and although I think it would be fun for them to graze on it from the pot I am thinking that it would be safer to trim the blades off so they cannot reach the soil... Is this correct?

Funny how I worry about these things with the birds, but it doesn't even cross my mind when I buy produce for myself!

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply! When I searched online it seemed everyone was growing it themselves, so I worried that store-bought was unsafe or something. Do you let them graze on it or do you trim bits off for them?
