Pictures Is this what the back of a bird tongue looks like? o.o

I was taking pictures of my baby and I realized, I’ve never seen the back of his tongue! Weird question, but is this normal?? New things with my birds always make me nervous.

I belive what you reffer to (the pink part) is the muscle that holds it in and makes it go around.
Looks ok to me.

It is fascinating looking down there lol.
You should also be able to see some (very little) saliva at the back of the tongue and throat which really freaked me out the first time I saw it as I kept reading that birds do not have saliva- the poor vet got a frantic call and a heap of gob pics from me with a pile of questions when I first saw back there .
