hello! I have noticed my budgie has what looks like scaly face mites. I feel like a horrible bird parent for only noticing this now. please help me find a good treatment for her.

should I buy ivermectin for her and apply it on her back between her wings? or buy something else to apply directly to her beak?

thank you for any and all of your help because I'm desperate right now to treat her, I think she is really suffering right now. please help. thank you.

Yes do the ivermectin or moxidectin immediately. Be sure you part the feathers so it’s on the skin. Between the shoulders is fine but you can also rub it on the area if it helps.
Do not try the oft-repeated Vaseline. What that will do is hold infection down against the skin.
It could be scaly mites; it certainly looks like it to me. But if your treatment doesn’t bring fairly quick results it may be something else.
Problem with scales mites is by the time you notice them, your bird has had them a really long time.

I think it is hyperceratossis of the cere, which is a cosmetic fault.

but if it is also at the sites of the beak, it should be probably healed against mites.
