Is this safe?

Do you all know those joss sticks? Are they safe. Like the smell. I can't stop then from using it but how bad is it and are there any ways to reduce it's harm?

They are very bad.
Same as cigarette smoke or any other smoke- it’s all bad, I guess there may be the extra hazard of what exactly it is that is burning to make the scent too but I’m not sure if that is classed as an extra hazard or the same sort of hazard as any other smoke.

Smoke is one of the worst. If you can smell it you're breathing it and so are the birds.

Nor his property...... he may put himself in a very bad situation doing the suggested bucket of water thing.

I must admit I do miss the smelly burning sticks but I burn them outside from time to time and then realize how much they take your breath away when the wind changes direction and brings the smoke my way- I really do not know how I ever thought burning them sticks inside was a good idea lol.
