I'm looking to buy a humidifier for my budgies, and I'm looking at one by Crane. On the website it says that the humidifier is made of ABS, SAN, and PP. It also says that it is BPA and Phthalate free. I called the manufacturer to make sure that it's BPA and PTFE free, and they said yes. Is this humidifier safe?

I have used cool mist and evaporative without issues, but I do wash them every time I refill them. That one should be safe.

Ok ty to be honest I am not fond of cool mist humidifiers. Two reasons: they are bacteria factories unless you use distilled water. And they are a pain to clean any hard water crud off. My suggestion is old time vaporizer like this: https://www.walgreens.com/store/c/vicks-warm-steam-vaporizer-1.5-gallon/ID=prod6099951-product.
It was only thing my former vet recommended. You will have to some research to make sure there are no Teflon parts . But I love mine
I thought birds could burn themselves on the heated ones? Is that not true?

Perfect, thanks!
